Indonesia is set to leverage its role as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 to attract investment and foster industrial collaborations across the Eurasian region. Scheduled for July 6–9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, the industrial exhibition will see Indonesian companies and government officials showcasing the country’s evolving industrial strategy, driven by the New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN). This strategy is designed to enhance Indonesia’s manufacturing competitiveness by addressing digitalization, energy transitions, and global supply chain shifts, aligning with the nation’s longer-term Golden Indonesia 2045 goals.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that the SBIN strategy aims to open doors for international collaboration through investment, technology transfer, and industrial development. The strategic plan is concentrated on four key areas: boosting value-added production from natural resources, advancing technology under the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting green industrialization, and strengthening industrial human resources.
At INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia plans to present opportunities for cooperation in industrial technology, with over 50 companies participating. The focus will be on forming partnerships in sectors like machinery, automation, petrochemicals, and advanced materials, enabling Indonesian manufacturers to modernize production processes. The exhibition will highlight investment prospects in industrial parks and downstream processing, as well as strategic mineral partnerships involving nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium.
The agricultural and food-processing sectors will also be spotlighted through the AGRO pavilion, offering opportunities for collaboration in food-processing technologies, logistics, and distribution within regional markets. Indonesia’s substantial manufacturing base, one of the largest in Southeast Asia, further underscores its position. With a manufacturing value added of $265 billion, Indonesia ranks 13th globally, and its non-oil and gas exports reached $147.9 billion by August 2025, accounting for nearly 80% of the country’s total exports.
Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development and International Industrial Access Tri Supondy stated that Indonesia’s participation at INNOPROM aims to reinforce its status as a long-term industrial partner for Eurasian economies. The event is expected to facilitate discussions on investment projects, technology transfers, and supply-chain partnerships across diverse manufacturing sectors, strengthening ties between Indonesian and Eurasian businesses.
